CAPTURE

A Wanax can only be captured by another Wanax or Iraya with the Wanax in the Labyrinth.

SWITCH

(not allowed if your Palace is empty)

Switch exchanges places in the Labyrinth between the Wanax and another Minoan.

Strategic placements can be maintained with SWITCH.

DOUBLE

Double enables you to relocate the Wanax anywhere in the Labyrinth while posting a Palace Minoan to his position.

ESCAPES

When playing for an escape, the Wanax needs to be in a safe position or well defended because he can no longer switch or double with the Palace empty.

RETREATING

The Wanax can be handy for forming a Triax from anywhere to retreat, but you lose power for trapping and capturing without your Wanax in the Labyrinth.

VULNERABILITY

Your Wanax is really only vulnerable for capture when your Palace is empty, because he can no longer double out of trouble or switch.
